Ethiopia Guji Medium Roast Coffee

ORIGIN

This coffee is grown at Adola Farm in Ethiopia’s Guji zone, part of the Sidamo region. Farms here range from 1,800 to 1,900 meters, where nutrient-rich nitosols, steady rainfall, and cool mountain air create ideal growing conditions. Adola cultivates heirloom Ethiopian varieties and processes them at its own wet and dry mills, preserving the beans’ vibrant character. The fully washed method highlights Guji’s signature fruit-forward and spicy notes, making this one of Ethiopia’s most celebrated coffee origins.

CRAFT

Our medium roast draws out the rich sweetness and layered complexity of Guji coffee. Dark berries, warm spice, and a subtle liquorice edge meet in a smooth, balanced cup. Light acidity and medium body make it versatile for many brew methods, from pour-over to French press. Directly sourced from Adola Farm, this lot offers a distinctive flavor profile that reflects the highland terroir of the southern Guji region in Ethiopia.

Ethically sourced coffee, roasted with purpose.

Our specialty coffee is crafted with ethically sourced, high-grade arabica beans from trusted farms around the world. Each roast brings out bold flavour, smooth finish, and consistent quality in every cup. We roast in small batches to honour the origin, depth, and complexity of every bean.

Brazilian Mogiana

I haven't started the Ethiopian yet. I'm almost done the Brazilian, and will do the Guatamalen next, and the Ethipian last. The Brazilian is quite a bit stronger tasting than the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe that I was drinking just before it, so I cut down on the amount of coffee I use to make a cup. I don't do any kind of detailed analysis, but I find your coffee consistently satisfying, better than most other options I've tried. And I like to try something a little different every couple of weeks, so I always buy three different varieties. By the way, I'll put in a plug for your Finca Santa Emilia - it really is very good, though the last time I got that it seemed to have a stronger flavour (maybe a darker roast?) than the first couple times. Hoever, to be brutally honest I still think that Fluid Solar Roasted coffee would be my preference overall, but they are sadly no longer selling retail-size packages - five pounds at once, and all of one variety, is way too much for me.
